Chicago's offense looked different.
This was more than an opening win. Chicago played with rhythm, answers and confidence from the first quarter on. Caleb Williams accounted for four touchdowns, D'Andre Swift ran for 124 yards and three scores, and the Bears finished with 552 yards of offense. The biggest difference was how little of it felt improvised. Chicago had counters when Carolina pressured, answers when the box got crowded and enough speed to punish softer coverage.
Bryce Young and Carolina actually moved the ball well enough to win on plenty of Sundays. Young threw for 361 yards and three touchdowns, but scoring 37 means nothing when the defense gives up 59. Carolina's biggest Week 2 priority is obvious: fix the explosives and get off the field.
4DK Verdict
Chicago's expectations just changed. If this offense is even close to sustainable, the Bears belong in the serious NFC conversation.
